This cobalt blue vase features Papillon oil spot decoration. The vase has a slender neck above a bulbous ribbed body. Loetz Glass Works was originally founded in Czechoslovakia in 1836 by Johann Eisener. It was transferred in 1855 Susanne Loetz Gerstner. She then transferred the new company in 1879 to Maximilian Von Spaun who was responsible for catapulting Loetz art glass into prominence as a force in the Art Nouveau movement.
