30% OFF - Vintage Orient and Flume Vase, Blue Peacock, Scott Beyers, 1980s
Fine, Vintage Orient and Flume Vase, Blue Peacock, Scott Beyers, early 1980s. This exceptional handblown vase was made by Scott Beyers of Orient and Flume, Chico, California, sometime during the early 1980s. It's in a shouldered form with a flared neck extending from the top, standing on a short pedestal base. Extremely well executed, this vase is a fine example of Scott Beyers' work. The design features a background of blue aurene glass, with pulled peacock feathers in iridescent blues and greens and opaque white. The level of detail on this example is astonishing. Dimensions: 9-3/8" high x 5" in diameter (at widest); 3-3/4" in diameter at the rim; the base is 3-1/2" in diameter. This is in excellent original condition, with some wear to the base due to its age, and a few bubble bursts to the surface (in the making). Inscribed around the pontil on the base: "Orient & Flume 0157MX5725BIR Beyers". The original Orient & Flume sticker is attached to the polished pontil. Note: The white hotspots and reflections in the photos are from the lights.
