This beautiful vase has a gorgeous peacock blue iridescent glass body# M arked with etched signature "Durand, 1713"#. T he condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs# There is one small surface scratch on lower body #see photos# - no other noted flaws. Measures 7 1/8" high with a top diameter of 3" and the base is 3 in diameter#. Contemporary with "Favrile" glass patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century#.
