Antique Uranium European French Art Glass Opalescent Blue Epergne Rigaree Vase

This is why I love glass! All blown by a master blower it has a rough pontil on the base. Pale blue with white opalescent striped with a slight twist to them.

The clear applied strand around the upper vase is called Rigarre this is distinctly Bohemian most likely French in my opinion. As you can see in the photos it is made from Uranium ore being added to the glass so it glows under UV lighting. What a wonderful piece of art this is the scissor work they did on the edges is fantastic looks very organic. It stands right around 16" tall The top is 7" across and sticks up about 11 1/2 from the bottom of the bowl.

The base is 7" high 12" across and 6 at the foot. No damage perfect piece for the pickiest collector.
