Carlson 1992 Studio Hand Made Art Glass Blue Aurene Color Puller Feather Vase
CARLSON 1992 STUDIO HAND MADE ART GLASS BLUE AURENE COLOR PULLER FEATHER VASE. A beautiful hand-made studio art glass vase made by Donald Carlson. He has been working in hot glass for several decades.

Due to the length of time he has been working in this field, his high quality of his work and his long list of accomplishments I would expect his work to rise in value in the coming years. This is a high-quality piece of art glass and is clearly signed on the bottom Carlson and what appears to me to read OL92 and 3388.
I presume the 92 in the numbering is for the year 1992, since I bought the vase new in 1993 and it has been in my personal collection ever since. The base glass color is cobalt blue. The artist has then, using back and white colored glass, created a pulled feather pattern topped with a peacock eye four places around the vase.The finish on the vase is highly reminiscent of Steubens blue Aurene color with lavender and fuchsia highlights inside the top rim. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color.

The vase is circa 1992. It is in pristine mint condition. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. There are no chips, fleabites, cracks, hairlines, scratches or repairs. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. About 3.25 (8.3 cm) in diameter and sits about 3.5 (8.9 cm) off the table. About 7.5 ounces (214 grams). On heavier items I will also offer a less expensive option, if available.
