Superior example of JugendstilNouveau glass. The Art & Crafts metal cradle is not original but fits nicely. The piece is in excellent condition with only the very minor-est of surface flaws. That being said, you can see in our outdoor photos, taken in direct sunlight , the color differences in the finish. We've looked at it closely with a magnifying glass and this is the original finish (not worn, scratching, etc).

Also, on the rim there is a'shark-fin' shaped flaw extending down into the interior of the vase, We thought it was an odd repaired chip but it's not a repair (the exterior-opposite dips slightly inward), its original to the piece. Expected (desired) century-old age-worn bottom.
