Iconic SAVOY Rich Blue Glass WAVE VASE, Alvar Aalto for IITTALA Finland 6.25. I'm pleased to offer this fabulous vase designed by Alvar Aalto for Iittala Glass! The world-renown designer and architect created this curvy glass design and Iittala Glass produced it. This one is in a deep, vivid blue glass, and it still has its original Iittala label as shown. It measures 8" long, 5.75" wide, and 6.25 in height.

Excellent preowned condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. You may find a few pale scratches from normal use and table wear over the years, but no damage.

The bottom is marked "ALVAR AALTO 1838/1993" as shown. The Aalto Vase, also known as the Savoy Vase, is a piece of glassware created by Alvar Aalto and his wife Aino. Aalto, whose name is actually Finnish for "wave" - created an original glass vase with wavy lines and whimsical freeform design that, to many, suggests the undulating profile of a Finnish lake.
