Elegantly Ornate Meissen Crystal Cobalt Blue Vase Signed. This is an exquisite MEISSEN Cobalt Blue "Signed" Cut-to-Clear, Layered, Leaded, Crystal Vase. It is very ornate but in a truely elegant way. Exquisite thick cut leaded crystal with many diffrent patterns, cuts, and layers.

It is a great representation of the diffrent time period's and era's of glass making. Brought to you by one of the oldest most respected names in pottery and china art; now bringing you the same elements and creativity to Leaded Crystal. This pattern is exclusive to Meissen.

The color is a dazzling cobalt blue and sparkles from top to bottom. It is intermingled with clear and frosted layers.

And is amazing with the 3D details and look. Starting at the very top edge with a beautiful sawtooth edging that you will notice holds the famous M signature cut into the blue edges.

Then working down to the the cross hatching cuts that hold the 5 point stars and also the blue that protudes out just a little from the cross cuts. And the cross cuts frame (both top and bottom) the exquisite center floral design the "Flower of London" pattern that Meissen has done a wonderful job of showing a complete pattern with lots of diffrent flowers, leaves, fruits, stems, limbs, all with great 3D detail. If you notice there is not one side of this vase that has the same repeat design as any other side. No matter which way you turn this vase you are looking at a totally diffrent part of the pattern. And when you look at diffrent angles the clear crystal mixed with the frosted and blue gives you new light patterns and a diffrent prospective on the design.

Between the Blue and Frosted and Clear layers this is truely an amazing piece of 3D Glass artwork. And it doesnt end there. Looking at the bottom edge under the cross cut, star, and blue, pattern is the bottom edge that holds a clear indented thumb print design that is really indented. And it is not so much that it leaves tons of clear glass but just enough to make you notice the indents giving it that elegant.

And if thats not enough the bottom center of the vase has on out-dented circle cut with a 12 point star and around the circle is more cross cuts seen both from the inside or bottom of the vase. I'm sorry my pictures do not do this vase justice. It seems no matter how little or much light was on this vase it reflected and washed out my pictures. Approx Dimensions: 10 1/4 at highest point in length.. Around top approx 7 1/4..
