R. Satava Hand Blown Art Glass Vase, Blue Harvest Moon

Richard Satava Blue Harvest Moon Vase, signed and numbered (#3640-94) 7 1/2 tall. The Blue Harvest Moon series beautifully depicts the full harvest moon on a deep cobalt background, shining thru a leafless tree with wandering branches and wisteria vines. The inside of the vase is a rich red, and if illuminated from the top, the vase will glow in a purple color as the red shines through the blue outside. Each hand-blown piece is individually crafted of original design by master glassblower Richard Satava by carefully combining the highest degree of technical skills and artistic creativity.

Widely known for both vases with brilliant, vivid colors and jellyfish sculptures with an ethereal translucent nature, his works are included in numerous public and private collections throughout the world. This vase is in mint condition. The vessel shown in the photo is the actual piece for sale.
