RARE MINT Art Glass Miniature Vase w/ Blue Vines & Pink Lilies Signed by JOHN LOTTON, 1991! This listing is for a lovely original John Lotton magenta(hot pink) & blue iridescent hand blown glass art miniature vase with pink lilies, signed by John Lotton and dated 1991. Measures 1" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Weight is 1.6 ounces.

Vase is in MINT condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The third son of Charles Lotton, internationally Known Glass Blower.

John started working in his Fathers Glass Shop at the age of 11, just sweeping and cleaning. First actual responsibilities were grinding and polishing his fathers glass. Being in the shop constantly and watching Charles made John want to try things on his own. He began making pendants out of pieces of broken vases. These began to SELL at art shows etc.

But John wanted to actually Make His Own Glass. So at the age of 12 he made his first paperweight. Even standing on a step stool to get the gathers. In 1979, John started to help his brother, David, make paperweights At the age of 15, John made his first Vase.

On 1983, Free formed sculptures became Johns passion. Later making perfumes and moving on to much larger sculptures and vases.
