Bronze glass was a form of iridescent finish made to compete with Bohemian products of that time. This treatment was to mimic Roman and other ancient glass, being excavated at the time, which had a natural iridescence due to soil contact. Bronze glass is a close cousin to the later mass produced American carnival glass.
