Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked. Similar examples from this range can be found online, sometimes baring labels which read "Arte Nuova Murano, Grand Prize, Genuine Venetian Glass, World Fair Brussels 1958". Other examples have a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy". The factory was open only for a relatively short time, from 1954 to 1965.
A combination of pink glass encased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed Sommerso technique. Measuring a a total of 12" tall with the vase opening at a height of 9.75". 5 inches in diameter at widest point in the middle.
