VTG Murano Art Glass Sommerso Vase Geometric Mid Century Modern Italy Green Blue

VTG Murano Sommerso Faceted Geometric Block Mid Century MCM Art Glass Sommerso Vase Faceted Geometric Handmade in Italy. This Rare and hard to find gorgeous block design was made popular by Flavio Poli. It is done on the Summerso technique that was invented by Seguso in the 1950s. This piece was designed by Flavio Poli in the 1960's. Summerso translates to "Submerged" or "Sunken", typically done with two layers of color.

This one using blue and green. Vase is rounded but the sides are flat.

NOTE: There are a few tiny air bubbles formed in glass as part of the glass making process. This piece is simply STUNNING and would be a great addition to any collection. DIMENSIONS: 4 3/4" tall, 3 3/4" wide with a 1 3/4 opening and is very heavy weighs 3.6 lbs.
